Nokia C5 comes preinstalled will the latest version of OVI Maps (v3.0) which offers free vioce guided navigation for life. It means free lifetime walk and drive navigation license. So, Nokia C5 can be your standalone GPS device for traveling. The voice is going to guide you so the small screen size won’t matter.

Earlier this service was quite costly with a fixed monthly subscription. Nokia has adopted a good strategy by making it free.It will help in raising Nokia’s market share in US. The latest budget GPS phone released in US is Nokia 5230 Nuron, which is receiving  good response.
There is also the popular Garmin Mobile XT application for S60v3 devices. You can check the Garmin download page. Don’t install the application as of now, C5 is not supported yet.

  1. The C5 does indeed support Garmin Mobile XT. I’ve been using it for over a month now and it’s pretty good.
