Nokia C5 Online Signing Process
Have you got any of these two Errors while installing an application on your Nokia C5?
1. “Certificate Error Contact the application supplier”
2. “Expired Certificate”

The first error means that the application you are trying to install is unsigned and you need to sign it first for proper installation. Nokia has introduced this feature in Symbian S60 3rd edition /5th edition smartphones for better security. There are 2 ways to get past with this error, either you need to hack your device or sign the application.
The second error means that the application is signed but expired. Once you sign an application it remains valid for 6 months after that you have to resign it. Changing the phone date to 1 year back can solve this problem.
In this tutorial I’ll guide you through online signing process with the help of following screenshots -

1. Open this site in your PC web browser – http://cer.opda.cn/en/. Register and Login. Now the first step is to get the developer key (.key) and certificate (.cer) fileĀ for your smartphone.

2.For this you need to Apply for certificate by clicking on “Apply cer” as shown above.

3. Fill the application form as shown above. You can get the IMEI number of you Nokia C5 smartphone by dialing *#06#. After submitting the application you need to wait for 24 hours.

4. After 24 hours your .cer and .key file will be generated. Now you are ready to sign an unsigned application. After logging in click on “Signing Softs”.

5. Now as shown in the above screenshot, select your certificate and upload the unsigned application.

6. Your signed application is ready for download. Install and enjoy!
