Nokia C5 Release Date
UPDATE – (May 28, 2010) – Nokia C5 Launched in the UK
It seems that, being a budget smartphone Nokia C5 is targeted towards Asian countries. So, its already released in India but there is no word about UK and US Launch.
Nokia C5 Review
C5 is the first Nokia C Series phone.It has got the same Operating System(Symbian S60 3rd Edition) as Nokia’s bestseller N95 with more powerful processor and improved user interface. C Series is more inclined towards Social Networking and Messaging.
It is good to see that at least Nokia is still producing non touch smartphones. Otherwise, everyone is blindly following Apple.Non touch phones have gone out of fashion.I still love my Nokia N82 more than Nokia 5230.Touch phones are becoming fashion statement.They are not easy to use especially ones which lack hardware qwerty and navigation keys similar to iPhone.Touchscreen never give the feel of a regular hardware key.You won’t be able to type without looking at the screen.The navigation is equally difficult, so playing games with virtual navigation gets boring. Moreover, if the touchscreen is capacitive, stylus won’t work.I find web browsing much difficult without stylus.I’m happy that Nokia has not stopped the production of non touch phones and Nokia C5 is one fine example which is more powerful, UI is improved and still costs much lesser than the previous models such as Nokia N95.
